The mandate for this project was to swiftly transform the main living and dining areas of a modern townhome—part of a larger West End heritage revival development—into a presentation-ready space. The core challenge was to furnish the unit on a tight timeline for immediate sale or rent, ensuring the décor seamlessly matched the sleek, contemporary base-building materials. Crucially, the staging needed to appeal to the broad Vancouver buyer/renter market while subtly connecting to the historical spirit of the adjacent heritage mansion.
We focused on strategic interior decoration that introduced a sense of history without clashing with the modern architecture. Our solution involved carefully selecting pieces that slightly echoed the past through classical silhouettes and refined textures, creating a design that felt both universal and visually compelling. We put a twist on the popular west coast “beige” aesthetic by incorporating contrastive décor and sophisticated layering to add immediate warmth. The result was a successful staging that felt cohesive with the larger development, appealing to a wide audience and making the home presentation-ready in a matter of weeks.
